More than 5,000 people had registered for WorkSafe Victoria’s annual Health and Safety Month webinars by 21 October 2026, the day the regulator published details of the series.

The program runs as 12 free online events from 26 to 30 October 2026. Each session includes a question-and-answer segment for participants.

Most sessions are aimed at employers and workers across all sectors. Others address particular industries. Two focus on the healthcare and social assistance sector: one on psychological health and safety, and one launching new WorkSafe guidance on moving people safely.

  • Format: 12 free online events, each with a question-and-answer segment
  • Dates: 26 to 30 October 2026
  • Registrations: more than 5,000
  • Who it affects: Victorian employers and workers, with sessions for small, medium and large businesses and the healthcare and social assistance sector

Other sessions cover preventing workplace falls, understanding employers’ obligations under new workplace exposure limits, reducing WorkCover premiums through injury prevention and return to work, supporting worker consultation and representation, and what happens during a WorkSafe inspection.

Psychological health and safety is also the subject of a practical guide for small and medium businesses and of a session on implementing it in large organisations. The remaining topics are health and safety innovation, common pitfalls for small businesses, and a session on supporting a patient who has been off work for a year.

Chief Health and Safety Officer Sam Jenkin said the sessions, led by experts, would again be useful for anyone wanting a better understanding of workplace health and safety and of what WorkSafe does in the community.

“We’re really pleased that employers and workers continue to show strong interest in this invaluable webinar series featuring some of the leading voices in workplace health and safety,” Mr Jenkin said.

He also said: “The webinars align closely with our strategic goals to drive positive change in Victorian workplaces through reducing workplace harm and helping employers support people returning to work.”
